Mike Winters went to law school to help people solve and avoid legal problems. Before beginning his legal career, he was a police officer for six years after graduating magna cum laude from York College of PA in 1986 with bachelor’s degrees in Criminal Justice and Political Science.
The desire to help others with their legal problems, combined with his law enforcement experience, gives Mike a unique perspective when it comes to providing you with knowledgeable and aggressive representation. He has extensive litigation and courtroom experience, and also experience before a variety of administrative bodies, including representing clients with professional licensing issues.
An active member of the Pennsylvania and Lancaster Bar Associations, Mike serves on the Animal Law and Corrections Systems committees of the PBA and previously served on the Board of Directors of the Lancaster Bar Association as the Long Range Planning Chair. He is a member of the PA Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and has been appointed to serve with the Investigative Division of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Judicial Evaluation Commission. Mike is also frequently selected by Judges of the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas to serve as Guardian Ad Litem for children in custody and juvenile court cases.
Born and raised in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, Mike currently resides in Manheim Township, Lancaster County with his wife and daughter and is devoted to his community. Mike served for eight years on the Manheim Township Zoning Board and as a Manheim Township School Board Director and Chair of the Judiciary Committee, 2011-2015.
