Michael T. Winters
Mike Winters went to law school to help people solve and avoid legal problems.
Before beginning his legal career, he was a police officer for six years, after graduating magna cum laude from York College of PA in 1986 with bachelor’s degrees in Criminal Justice and Political Science.
The desire to help others with their legal problems, combined with his law enforcement experience, gives Mike a unique perspective when it comes to understanding human nature and providing you with knowledgeable and aggressive representation. This perspective, along with decades of experience in getting results for his clients, cause people to seek Mike out when they need legal help.
Mike concentrates his practice in the areas of Criminal Defense, DUI Defense, Juvenile Law, ChildLine Appeals, Dog Law, Traffic citations and Driver’s License problems. He graduated from the Temple University, Beasley School of Law, where he participated in the Trial Advocacy program, which is consistently regarded as one of the best Trial Advocacy programs in the United States.
An active member of the Pennsylvania and Lancaster Bar Associations, Mike serves on the Animal Law and Corrections Systems committees of the PBA and previously served on the Board of Directors of the Lancaster Bar Association. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the PA Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (PACDL) and serves on the editorial board of PACDL’s periodical, For the Defense. Mike has also been appointed to serve with the state-wide Investigative Division of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Judicial Evaluation Commission.
Born and raised in Lancaster County, Mike currently resides in Manheim Township, Lancaster County with his wife and daughter. He is devoted to his community, having served eight years on the Manheim Township Zoning Board and also having been elected as a Manheim Township School Board Director.
